Happy Monday,

We hope everyone is enjoying the good weather. We wanted to share some more details about our upcoming season with you.  As we can not use Willow Run on Fridays, and we know many competitive families come on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. We have decided to offer registrations this fall as a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday option. If you would like the flexibility of swimming any day Monday-Thursday, you will complete 2 registrations - one for Monday/Wednesday and one for Tuesday/Thursday.  We hope this allows us to add more swimmers to our program by allowing more swimmers on nights that we have historically had lower attendance (when families were registering for all 5 days of the week).  

Our Pups & Jr Otter classes will be slightly smaller this fall, due to a decrease in the number of available coaches.  And the class times are changing, with Monday/Wednesday Pups & Jr Otters starting later to accommodate our coaches' school schedules.  There will be NO MAKE UPS this season.  We have previously been able to hold make up classes for Pups & Jr Otters on Fridays.  We will not have that flexibility this season.  Attempts will be made to spread out the meets between M/W & T/Th.  But there is no guarantee that the number of classes will be equal between the groups.

All of this to say that registration will be going out for Competitive Swimmers by Wednesday at noon.  Pups & Jr Otters should see registrations by Friday evening.

We currently have 126 families on the waitlist, our Board & Coaching staff are attempting to determine how best to move forward with offering a waitlist, and if it will be better to offer it season to season basis rather than a rolling waitlist.  Currently families are waiting 6-12 months on our waitlist. And it's unclear how many are still interested at that point, and if their child is still at the same level as when they joined the list.  We realize this is a great problem to have - we appreciate all the referrals from our current families. But we also don't want to leave families on the waitlist for extended periods of time.

Thank you as we navigate this all together.  Yellow/Blue/Bronze/Silver/Gold swimmers should be seeing registration info by Wednesday evening at the latest, and Pups/Jr Otters will see it by Friday evening.
